Our Mask-Making
Mission
Through the efforts of the Knitting Guild and Presbyterian Women, St. Stephen has delivered more than 350 cloth face masks to DRC (Solutions to End Homelessness) for use by their staff, as well as homeless who have been cared for in Fort Worth’s overflow emergency shelter.
With the continued handwork of St. Stephen members and friends, we have also delivered 370 masks to PNS for use of their staff and guests. Sincere thanks to all who have helped St. Stephen supply these masks to the homeless in Fort Worth and those serving them!
With everyone asked to wear masks when in public, we assume that this will be an ongoing need among the homeless community, as well as those who are serving them.
If you would like to help sew face masks to deliver to DRC and the PNS:
St Stephen will be distributing kits (including fabric, elastic and instructions) to make 10 face masks per kit. These kits are available to be picked up (via safe social distancing from the passenger side of vehicle) at the church parking lot from 1:00-1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays.
If you need a cloth face mask, we have one that has been lovingly handmade for you by some of our members!
• Please come to the church parking lot 1:00-1:30 p.m. Tuesdays, where we will safely give you one.
• Or contact Lynn Wilson, [email protected], and we will determine how we can get one delivered to you.
