After retiring in 2004, Warner Bailey became St. Stephen’s Parish Associate. He brings over 40 years of professional pastoral leadership as he consults with our staff and with committees of the Session. He preaches occasionally and teaches adult classes several times each year. He is available for pastoral counseling. You will find him normally at the church on Tuesdays.
Warner has a BA (Summa Cum Laud) from Texas Christian University where he studied Chemistry. He prepared for ministry at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary (M.Div.) and Yale University (M.Phil. and Ph.D.). He has pastored churches in Texas and Indiana. For 22 years he was pastor of Ridglea Presbyterian Church of Fort Worth. He has served in structures of our Church at presbytery, synod, General Assembly, and international levels.
He and his wife Mary are parents of two adult children, Joanna who is a Presbyterian minister and David who is an executive with ExxonMobil. They are grandparents of Joanna’s children Joseph and Miriam, and David’s son Jacob Emmanuel.
