Christmas on the Hill, Dec. 14, 6 – 8 p.m.

Christmas on the Hill is an annual festival on the lawns of St. Stephen and always on the Wednesday prior to the week of Christmas.   This year’s theme is “Las Posadas”,Journeying through the streets of Bethlehem seeking lodging for the Holy Family.   Every year we’ve had excellent though occasionally cool weather for our outdoor events.  However, we’ll be prepared for indoor activities if the weather proves unbearable.

Our Mexican Las Posadas lends itself to delicioso Nachos and fixings, Tres Leches Cakes, Hot Mexican Cocoa, and water for the less adventurous.

Along with the food, we have a petting zoo, a carriage ride on Sandage Street, sliding down our spectacular hill, farolitos (otherwise known as lumenarios) outlining our lawns,  crafts of all kinds, a photo opportunity with the holy family, and a Las Posadas Journey into the Stable inside the Sanctuary.

You can rest or enjoy the crowds, walk the labyrinth, sit in the Sanctuary and pray, or be creative.  We’d love to have anyone come to our FREE event; it is our Advent and Christmas gift to the community!
